Christmas Mini Sessions 2022

I held my annual Christmas Mini Sessions for 2022 and it sold out again! This year Christmas backdrop was a high key theme, using alot of white, reds and greens and this allowed all of my clients and their kids to either dress up in nice clothing, dress down in jammies and even as the Grinch!!

I’m soo fortunate to see all of my clients who worked with me in the past and met new clients as well! I’m looking forward to next year’s theme (the theme is already picked out!).

Noah's First Birthday!!

Noah turned 1 in December and I was honored to be able to capture his first birthday portraits and cake smash!

Noah’s mom booked her son’s session in October, wanting a specific theme with also booking a family session as well as a bath splash for Noah. When his mom communicated that she wanted a moon/stars theme, I looked through the backdrop companies and presented several various backdrops for her to choose. After she looked through all of the backdrops, she chose a backdrop with a crescent silver moon with galaxies and stars across the entire backdrop.

On the day of the session, I first photographed their family session using a classic neutral beige backdrop that goes with all clothing colors. Then I was able to photograph Noah’s first birthday portraits using that same backdrop, of him sitting on the floor and on a wooden white bed.

Next was his cake smash and mom provided a beautiful tall grey/blue/white buttercream cake. At first he was curious and ate a bit here and there but he was soo excited to walk across the set to be with his mom.

Lastly was time for his bath splash. Noah LOVED it!! Noah’s mom brought in his rubber ducky and he loved to splash and just loved his bath.

Isabel's Mini Newborn Session

When I’ve received an inquiry to photography Isabel’s Newborn mini session in December, I was very excited. I love photographing Newborn mini sessions because it allows me enough time to photograph babies wrapped/swaddled up both on the blankets and in props.

So when Isabel arrived to the world, her mom had many requests and the number 1 request for her daughter’s session was to photograph her using the moon bowl. So I was excited to capture her daughter in blue.

The colors that were used for her session were rose, neutral colors and blue. For the beanbag/blanket wrapped pictures, I chose rose and really loved the color that I recently bought. Its a very muted but classic Rose color that compliments all skin tones. I first wrapped Isabel in both an underwrap and an pretty warm wrap to get her very sleepy. I used both headbands and bonnets to provide variety. Every mom wants their daughter photographed in headbands but bonnets on babies gives that it different, peaceful look.

Then I photographed her in the moon bowl with a blue and starry backdrop, using both a blue headband and using a sleepy cap, with a sparkly stone headband on top.

Lastly I photographed Isabel in a wooden brown bowl against a wood backdrop that I love using for all newborn photo shoots. The brown and the pink/rose tones really compliment each other everytime.

Christmas Mini Sessions

This year I offered Christmas Mini Sessions for a full day and it was sold out within weeks. My clients receive early access to purchase their Christmas Mini Sessions slot times before I announce it to the general public. With the early access, you get to choose your ideal time slot.

This year’s Christmas Mini Session was based on a very homey backdrop where there were lots of dark walnut natural wood with colorful decorated Christmas Trees on each side. The center mantle was also decorated with colorful flora.

My clients were a mixed of repeat clients and new ones and everybody LOVED their pictures. I had fun seeing my previous clients and getting to know the new ones with their kids and family members.

Maternity Session at Snug Harbor

I always love to photograph at Snug Harbor, especially in the fall time because the area has beautiful grounds. When Sabrina scheduled her maternity session, she was excited to be photographed at Snug Harbor in Staten Island, NY. She chose to be photographed in a black slim maternity dress with lace on top that I have in my closet. Her second choice for her dress was a modern beige calf length dress with black boots and a black hat that she brought in. I love the looks that she chose on her.

I first photographed Sabrina and her husband at the garden grounds and at the Arch using the black lace maternity gown that she chose. She looked really elegant and gorgeous. I also photographed her at the another flower garden adjacent to the Arch and the Gazebo. Then she changed into her modern maternity dress and we walked towards the bigger houses with pillars. I loved how the images came out and the look of her maternity photo shoot.

Family Session at Snug Harbor

I love it when clients return to me for the photos, especially for their Family photos. She wanted to have both her immediate and extended family photographed at Snug Harbor in Staten Island. I love photographing there because it provides different scenes and looks to everybody’s pictures.

When we first met up, we walked to the pond and I photographed her entire family as a unit and then I photographed each individual family grouping separately and they had soo much fun, especially with their new addition Charlotte.

Then we walked to the nearest gardens located next to the Pond and took more family pictures in front of their summer flowers, where everybody held and snuggled baby Charlotte.

Afterwards we traveled to the Gazebo area and the pathway to the tropical flowers. After spending about more than an hour at Snug Harbor, we had a great time catching up and capturing everybody’s family photos.
