Christmas Mini Prep Guide and FAQ

  1. Christmas Mini Sessions are 20 minutes each so within that time, I try to capture everybody in different poses; usually standing, sitting on a stool, sitting on the floor, kids sit on benches. Please let me know if there are any limitations so that I can accommodate accordingly.

  2. If you are bringing in an infant, I highly recommend to be prepared to be photographed with your little one. I do photograph infants either on their back or on their stomach, doing tummy time but I do not dedicate the full mini session to your baby. If you want your baby to be only photographed for the entire photoshoot, I would recommend to book a Christmas milestone session and we can talk about personalizing your baby’s session.

  3. Parents of toddlers - Please be prepared to be photographed with your tot. Your toddler may not feel comfortable being alone in front of the camera, so I recommend to have one of the parents to be in the pictures with your kid. They’re happier and they wont have as much separation anxiety if you’re with them.

  4. What to wear…. Truthfully just wear what makes you feel comfortable. I always attach a picture of the backdrop for the families that reserve their session and all of my families look great in the outfits that they choose, from formal dresses, plaid shirts/ jeans to jammies. I just ask that you take out any cell phones from your pockets and any electronic watches (unless they’re luxury watches ie Movado/Rolex) and hair ties off your wrist.

  5. For those that wear eyeglasses - there is a chance that glare from the softbox and light will be seen on your eyeglasses. I will try my best to edit it out or position the light differently to avoid this issue however I cannot guarantee that intense glare can be edit out. As a safety, I would recommend to take off your eyeglasses when being photographed.

  6. Have fun!!
