Isabel's Mini Newborn Session

When I’ve received an inquiry to photography Isabel’s Newborn mini session in December, I was very excited. I love photographing Newborn mini sessions because it allows me enough time to photograph babies wrapped/swaddled up both on the blankets and in props.

So when Isabel arrived to the world, her mom had many requests and the number 1 request for her daughter’s session was to photograph her using the moon bowl. So I was excited to capture her daughter in blue.

The colors that were used for her session were rose, neutral colors and blue. For the beanbag/blanket wrapped pictures, I chose rose and really loved the color that I recently bought. Its a very muted but classic Rose color that compliments all skin tones. I first wrapped Isabel in both an underwrap and an pretty warm wrap to get her very sleepy. I used both headbands and bonnets to provide variety. Every mom wants their daughter photographed in headbands but bonnets on babies gives that it different, peaceful look.

Then I photographed her in the moon bowl with a blue and starry backdrop, using both a blue headband and using a sleepy cap, with a sparkly stone headband on top.

Lastly I photographed Isabel in a wooden brown bowl against a wood backdrop that I love using for all newborn photo shoots. The brown and the pink/rose tones really compliment each other everytime.

Victoria's Newborn Photo Session

Victoria’s mom reached out to me to photograph her baby that was born. My earliest availability at that time was a month in advance and she took that time slot. So I was very excited to photograph Victoria at the age of 2 months old.

When Victoria’s mom chose her photo session color palette of blues and neutrals, I was looking forward to photographing her baby in blue since pink and peach are colors usually chosen by most moms.

We first started the session with photographing her family first and then sibling shots and both types of pictures came out nicely. Then I photographed Victoria in different types of props and she looked soo pretty in them. Even though she was wide awake for her entire session, she was such a happy baby taking everything in.

Lastly I photographed Victoria in a baby blue lace romper and a pretty headband. She looked soo pretty!!

Even though photographing babies at 2 months old wont get you those traditional newborn poses, it was such a great photo shoot just capturing Victoria’s personality and the entire family.

Kenzo's Newborn Photo Shoot

In September I had the opportunity to photograph Kenzo and his beautiful mama for their newborn photo session. The color scheme that was Sage Green and Neutrals.

I first photographed their family part, with Mama posing with her son and holding him. She looked radiant!

Then it was time for photograph Kenzo in various props, pairing green with warm neutrals. And then I moved onto the posing him for the blanket poses such as lying on his side and being wrapped.

I’m soo happy that I was able to photograph and document this special moment for them.

Amelia's Newborn Session

At the end of July, I had the opportunity to photograph Amelia for her newborn session. She was one month old when she came in. The colors that her family chose were warm neutrals and a pink lace romper.

I first photographed the family as a unit and then I photographed each family member with Amelia. She was swaddled in white to give that classic neutral look and to compliment the family’s clothing.

After photographing the family, I prepped Amelia in different colored swaddles to compliment all the different props that she was photographed in, including the heart bowl, a round bowl and photographed on a flokati rug.

When it came time for the blanket poses, Amelia wore a dusty pink/mauve lace outfit against a cream neutral blanket. Within the three hour photo shoot, it was a beautiful session and I’m happy that I was to photograph their session.

A Beautiful Family

I was soo excited when Kanwal chose me to photograph her newborn baby girl and her family. During the family photo shoot, they had different outfits showing reflecting how happy they were about her arrival. They chose different tshirts showing how proud they were to be their parent and big sister and you could tell that they are soo happy.

When it was time to photograph the baby for her session, I chose to use my classic white flokati rug, a heart bowl and a basic wood bed while I wrapped and swaddled her for her to sleep soundly.

I had soo much fun during the photoshoot and meeting Kanwal and her beautiful family.

Navaeh's Newborn Photo Shoot in Staten Island, NY

All of my clients have been traveling to me to entrust me with their newborn photos. I’m soo honored and humbling to hear that they’ve traveled 30 minutes to have their babies photographed by me.

When Navaeh’s mother texted me saying that she was born, I couldn’t wait to schedule them in for their photo shoot. The colors that were chosen for Navaeh were peach, purple and white and my goal was to incorporate all of those colors for her session. As you can see in her photos, she photographed beautifully for all of those colors. And I was soo excited to accessorize her session with different headbands, bonnets and wraps.

In addition, her mother has brought in all of these props that I was able to incorporate and I’m soo happy that I was able to capture Navaeh in a few outfits that were knitted by her aunt.
