Kristina's Maternity Photo Shoot

I’m always excited when my clients book me for in advance for their maternity session because it allows us to style the session as much as possible. Kristina booked me for both her maternity and newborn sessions and it was such a great experience to work with her.

For Kristina’s maternity photo shoot, she chose her location at Snug Harbor and chose two dresses to be photographed in. Her dresses was a Black dress with a sweetheart neckline and chiffon layers at the bottom and her second dress was a blue dress with a sweetheart neckline with a slightly sheer chiffon material at the knees with a long train. Both dresses looked beautifully on her!

I always have a great time photographing at Snug Harbor Cultural Center because you can get different looks at one location. The first half of the photo shoot, Kristina was photographed in the black chiffon dress and she looked amazing posing by herself and with her fiancé. Then she changed into the blue dress and she was soo pretty in that color. Both dresses really made a statement for her photos and she rocked her session.

Wrapped Mini Newborn Session

I love photographing wrapped/swaddled mini sessions because it keeps the baby calm and comforted during their session while providing beautiful images for the family. I was excited when Bonianne hired me to photograph her son’s session. The colors that she picked out for him were pale blue and sage green.

I first photographed her son in a few props, including the heart bowl and the bed and I was able to get a few smiles from him while he was in a REM sleep. He slept beautifully and I was able to capture a few macro shots of his eyelashes and lips.

Then I photographed him on a Sage Green blanket using a wrap and varying the style of the wrap. Since he slept so well, I didnt a sense of the time and went past their scheduled session time.

Amelia's Newborn Session

At the end of July, I had the opportunity to photograph Amelia for her newborn session. She was one month old when she came in. The colors that her family chose were warm neutrals and a pink lace romper.

I first photographed the family as a unit and then I photographed each family member with Amelia. She was swaddled in white to give that classic neutral look and to compliment the family’s clothing.

After photographing the family, I prepped Amelia in different colored swaddles to compliment all the different props that she was photographed in, including the heart bowl, a round bowl and photographed on a flokati rug.

When it came time for the blanket poses, Amelia wore a dusty pink/mauve lace outfit against a cream neutral blanket. Within the three hour photo shoot, it was a beautiful session and I’m happy that I was to photograph their session.

Christine's Maternity Journey

I am soo happy and honored that Christine asked me to photograph her Maternity session. We were supposed to photograph at Clove Lake Park in Staten Island however it was raining that day. So we decided to do a studio session and it was a great photo shoot!

I met her husband and they looked amazing for their Maternity pictures. Christine brought in two dresses which were gorgeous. One was a blush velvet A link dress was very unique. And her second dress was boho-style gown which was elegant and relaxed at the same time. Christine looked radiant I can’t wait to meet her little one in a couple of weeks for their newborn session.
