This past weekend, I went to the Super Pet Expo in Edison, NJ. It's a convention of various vendors selling pet related products and services within the tri-state area. You'll find booths for dog and cat wear, vendors selling antlers for dogs to chew on, boutique dog treat bakeries and so forth. Other than the vendors, they also have areas for small and big dog runs and have agility shows. But the greatest thing about this expo is that you can bring your pets with you to the convention. So while walking around, there were soo many unique dogs that were soo friendly. Its definitely a great show to attend. Below are some of the dogs that I was able to capture. Enjoy!
Pictured above: Left Portrait - Shaka, Right Portrait - Rival
A few weeks ago, I've received news that Shaka, the dog photographed on the left, passed away. Rival, photographed on the right, is her long term companion.
They both stayed over last summer at Exercise My Mutt for boarding and daycare. From what I remember, they were inseparable, if Shaka wanted to rest at a spot where the sun was spilling into the room, Rival was right there accompanying her. It was a very sweet relationship.
When Shaka passed away, it was hard for Rival to cope. So Rival returned to EMM (Exercise My Mutt) for weekly daycare to get his mind off from his loss. Slowly but surely, he is having a great time at day care and we are happy to have him in our family.
This year I held my first Christmas Mini Sessions at Exercise My Mutt and it was a great event. It was nice to meet different families and new pets and I had a blast with everybody. And as you can see, my husband and I did our own mini sessions for our cards as well.
Have a great holiday and I can't wait to do this again next year.
This past September, I photographed my friend's family in Central Park. The day was beautiful and mild. It was the perfect day to take candid portraits of the family enjoying the park. We mainly stayed around the Conservatory Garden area in the north section. Until now, I never had the opportunity to enjoy and experience that area of the Park. I don't know who had a better time, the kids or the adults. All in all, it was a great day and really enjoyed catching up with my friend and getting to spend time with her family. I hope you enjoy the portraits as much as I enjoyed taking them.
